Introduction
The decision taken to establish Jinnah Medical & Dental College (JMDC) was based on a desire to raise the standards of medical education in Pakistan. Conscious that a high level of professional competence must be attained by medical students, a system of instruction was planned with emphasis on interactive, small group tutorials, problem-based and community-based learning, relevant to our culture.
As the world is rapidly shrinking, JMDC students are encouraged to keep abreast of the latest developments in medical/dental sciences. Other vital aspects of our programs which are often ignored by medical educationists include communication skills and courses in humanities. JMDC students are groomed to write and speak effectively, giving them confidence to pursue graduate studies and participate effectively in seminars and conferences at national and international levels. Our graduates are distinguishable for their communication skills, leadership qualities and team spirit.
