BS-MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY IN RADIOLOGY(BS-MT-RAD)

The aim of the four-year Radiology degree program at Sohail University is to empower students with practical skills, advanced techniques, and strong ethical values, so they can serve as a vital link between doctors and patients—ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective healthcare delivery

Program Goals and Learning Objectives

Medical Knowledge

  • Deliver comprehensive education to prepare students for the full spectrum of radiological services, guided by expert faculty.
  • Develop the ability to correlate basic and clinical sciences in determining the most appropriate imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis.
Patient Care
  • Understand and identify normal and abnormal anatomical structures in imaging studies.
  • Recognize disease progression and the role of follow-up imaging in patient care.
  • Choose suitable imaging modalities based on clinical urgency (emergency, urgent, or routine).
  • Be aware of contraindications and patient-specific limitations in imaging.
  • Utilize technical expertise and equipment capabilities to overcome diagnostic challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum 45% marks HSC Pre-Medical for Biomedical Sciences programs OR O/ A level – Foreign High School Equivalence.
  • Equivalence, as determined by the Inter board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), is required for all non-Pakistan Boards of Education (www.ibcc.edu.pk)
  • Qualify Aptitude Test & Interview
  • Candidates residing outside of Pakistan may submit SAT/ACT results instead of sitting Aptitude Test
