Jinnah College of Nursing earlier started from Medicare School of Nursing (MSON) in 1997 as the first academic unit of S. M Sohail Trust at Medicare Hospital Shaheed–E–Millat Road, Bahadrabad Karachi. Initially, a three-year diploma in nursing program was started. In June 2003, the Medicare School of Nursing was relocated to the Jinnah Medical College Hospital in Korangi. Later on, MSON was recognized for the training of Midwifery & Cardiac Specialties. Medicare School of Nursing was upgraded to Jinnah College of Nursing (JCN) in 2009. The College offers various programs at the undergraduate level for nurses to provide care to individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, sick or well and in all settings. Our both degree programs are registered with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. We are providing quality nursing education at an affordable cost as compared to the market. We encourage the students to apply from all areas of Pakistan on a merit basis.
The Jinnah College of Nursing has implemented the HEC & PNC-approved curriculum to meet the challenges of future requirements in the field of Nursing education, evidence-based practice, and research to fill the gap between the required and present demands of skilled motivated and professionally trained nurses at national and international level.
